I have been blogging for 4 years and for the last 3 and half years, I have been living on blogging. Yes, this is the only work I do since March 2006. Over the course of these 4 years, I have opened numerous personal blogs and wrote for 3 blog networks. Well, I would not say that I became a top shot in this field. However, I like to think that I had some modest success and I have learnt about blogging a lot. I started professional blogging in a good way.
I used to work for Know More Media Network and I used to write in SouthAsiaBiz.com. It got a Page Rank 6 and in 20 months it received more than 3 million page views. When it seemed to me that SouthAsiaBiz was ready to jump to the next level and become a very successful and popular website, Know More Media Business collapsed in August 1 2008 (11 months ago) and I had to start from the scratch. Well, I did not stop and continued trying for different blogs. Two of my personal blogs that achieved some success are: Sports.com and SouthAsiaBlog.com. I have high hopes about South Asia Blog and my dream is that it will become the top blog in its field in the next one year.
Anyway, you may wonder that why I tried to open a blog on Blogging when there are so many very successful blogs on this field. Well, basically there are two reasons. First of all, I feel that I have learnt a lot about blogging and I can help new bloggers in this field. The second reason is obvious; I want to establish myself as an expert in this field. This is more related to personal benefits rather than selfless dedication. However, the beauty of online self publishing is that you have to give something substantial and quality content or else there is no scope for becoming successful. There are many blogs in any field and if you do not work hard and give something useful to the users then you will never become successful.
