I started blogging from 2005 and in 2006, I saw explosion in this field. Well, I was not a teen and I was not even in the US. Anyway, now, most teenagers in USA feel that Facebook Status Update is cooler than blogging. Blogging is backdated and good for last generation. So, Facebook and Twitter are going to become more popular at the expense of blogging. For professional bloggers like me, it has two sides.

The good side is that there will be less competition and advertising money will be divided less. After all, until now, earning money through blogging is much easier than earning money by Facebook. The bad side is that advertising dollar is where the people are. People are moving towards Facebook and dollars will be moving there too. Another significant loss will be getting backlinks. I remember that in 2006 or 2007 getting backlinks were much easier as there were many active and interested bloggers who did blogging just for fun.

For people like me, money has to come and we have to just work harder.
