It is time for Absolute Write August Blog Chain and before me, Claire wrote about the mass appeal of romantic stories. Her question for me was: Razibahmed – My question to you is, where do you go to find inspiration for your writing? Is it music, other novels, food, etc?
At first, I thought that it would have been a very easy question for me. I thought that I always knew the answer. However, when I sat to write this entry, I found myself to be at a loss. Then I realized that my answer was in the post of Claire. She wrote about the appeal of romantic stories and I felt that this is the thing that is my greatest source of inspiration. For me, it is not a novel or short story but the romantic story that took place in real life.
My most important source of inspiration is my wife. She is a very supportive woman and she always tries her best that I can find enough time for my writing and other works. This support is crucial because I live in a city where you cannot have most of the basic facilities in life taken for granted. For example, in my house, water comes only for 3-4 hours a day and I do not have any water in my shower or taps for the other 20 hours. My wife tries her best to make all the bottles and buckets full. She has to boil water because tap water is not safe to drink. She has to wash the clothes (we do not have washing machine) with her hand within these 3-4 hours.
I can make the list very long but I guess that most of you have already got a clear picture of my daily life. I am not suffering from poverty but I do not have many of the modern facilities. Life is tough and sometimes intolerable- especially in summer, when there is no electricity for 3-4 hours a day and my electric fan does not work.
What I can tell you from my personal experience is that writing needs a lot of concentration and it is very difficult to focus when I am sweating from heat. My own life has been full of struggle and you can find some more about it here: Becoming a Blogger
My wife is always there to help me and make life some comfortable and it surely helps a lot. For the last 3 years, I have been earning my livelihood through blogging and in this field, it does not matter how much you write well. What matters is that how many page views could your blog generate every month and from what source (Search Engine or non search engine sources) and from where your visitors come (traffic more USA and Canada bring more revenue compared to other parts of the world). It puts a lot of stress in my day to day life. I have to make sure that my blogs get certain number of visitors and page views every day, every week and every month. The last one year has been full of stress for me because my revenue decreased a lot because economic recession. Hopefully, it will again become better from this Christmas.
My wife studied engineering but decided to become a blogger just to be with me. It gives a lot of happiness to work with my wife in the place (in our rented home) every day of the week. The thing I enjoy most in my career now is that when I get any success, I can share it with my wife and it brings even more happiness for me.
Next in the chain is Aimee Laine in her blog: http://www.aimeelaine.com/
My question for her is: What led you to leave your full time job and start your own business? What were the obstacles did you face at first?

To work beside your wife is both tough and a privilege! Kudos to you two for being able and willing to do so! My husband and I work together but in separate buildings.
I love him, but all day? No way.
Your way of life is clearly so very different than mine, and yet we both love to write. It’s nice when something to “simple” can bring together those of different cultures and geographic locations.
A common thread.
